Pershore Apartments

Scotts Timber Engineering are currently halfway through the supply of 6 blocks of Retirement Apartments in Pershore, Worcestershire, for Speller Metcalfe Ltd.

We have already supplied roofs to blocks C, B and A, with balance of blocks D, E and F planned for June 2025 onwards.

Initial BM3 Architecture  drawings were supplied by Speller Metcalfe, for which Scotts supplied an initial proposal – roof trusses supported by steel beams, allowing construction of dormer roofs, inner-wall of gable walls and party walls supplied as factory manufactured and clad spandrel panels.  Clad dormer panels are also being produced in the factory and will be craned into place.

Almonry Close, which is based in the heart of Pershore, had been considered no longer fit-for-purpose and would have become a significant loss for a community in need of housing provision – particularly for its retirement population.

The site is an outdated sheltered housing scheme being redeveloped into 54 modern retirement living apartments for the over 55’s, for rent and shared ownership. The apartments will offer a mix of 1 and 2 bedrooms, and are designed to be easy to heat, cheap to run, as well as featuring a green roof, solar PV panels and EV charging points.

The development overlooks Abbey Park in the market town of Pershore in Worcestershire.
