Back to the 1940’s
This amazing photo uncovered yesterday at Scotts Timber Engineering’s head office in Thrapston, Northamptonshire, shows current MD James Scott’s grandfather Douglas Scott and daughter Jennifer proudly showcasing a display of ladders!
Ladders, timber troughs and wheelbarrows were all very much part of the product range in the late 1940’s when this picture was believed to have been taken, demonstrating the company’s roots in an agricultural area 105 long years ago.
From these humble roots, our Timber Engineering division now specialises in trusses, joists, panels, porches and car ports and barns, while elsewhere in the business, our equestrian division is a major supplier of high quality stables and our garden rooms team produce some of the best quality and prettiest summerhouses available in the UK!
