Brickhill Homes at Linmere
Scotts is pleased to be supplying trusses to two apartment blocks for Brickhill Homes on the new community currently under development at Linmere, near Dunstable in Bedfordshire, as well as panels for one of the blocks.
The roof has some interesting design features, and Ben Fett from Scotts Timber Engineering has designed large raised blocks with split span flat top boxed trusses and girder trusses to accommodate the developer’s needs.
Linmere is being delivered by the Linmere Consortium, led by Lands Improvement which, as the Master Developer for the site, is delivering the site’s essential infrastructure, overseeing the entire development process, and committed to creating an enjoyable environment that stands the test of time.
Currently there are about 300 residents living in Linmere, with around 800 new homes completed, ready to welcome new residents to this growing community. The high-quality new homes have been built by Barratt, Bellway and Barratt David Wilson and all follow the Linmere vision, as set out within development’s design-led approach. Other developers will also be working across the site as it progresses.
They already has brand-new community facilities, open spaces, and retail space. Plus, there is a state-of-the-art primary school located on the development that has opened.
Over the next 15 years, around 5,000 homes of mixed size, price and tenure will be available in a series of interlinked neighbourhoods that connect people with nature and enable and promote activity and relaxation alike. Creating a sense of place, community and belonging for all residents.
