Player Sponsorship at Northampton Saints
We were delighted to join the Northampton Saints team at cinch Stadium this week as we were welcomed as a player sponsor for Henry Pollock. The event included a series of workshops and an opportunity to watch a live training session – as well as lunch.
The values exhibited in performance sport like the Rugby Premiership – both at a team and an individual level are very similar to those you find in a successful business, and our decision to sponsor Henry very much reflects the values we apply to running Scotts Timber Engineering. With one of our factories in Northamptonshire, Saints are a natural choice for community engagement, and we have also supported the Saints Foundation, the club’s charity which uses the values of Northampton RFC and the power of sport to Inspire, support and educate young people.

England Under-18s captain Henry Pollock joined Northampton Saints’ Senior Academy ahead of the 2023/24 season, having been within Saints’ Academy set-up since his Under-13 season, when he was picked up following standout performances for Buckingham RUFC and Beachborough Prep School.
The flanker moved to Stowe School and has gone from strength to strength in Black, Green and Gold, also captaining Saints on their run to the Academy League Final and catching the eye as he debuted for the first team against London Irish, Saracens and Newcastle Falcons in the 2022/23 Premiership Rugby Cup a season before signing his first professional contract.
Pollock made four further appearances in the 2023/24 season, including a Gallagher Premiership debut against Leicester Tigers that term. While more international honours followed, as Pollock travelled to South Africa to represent England Under-20s in the 2024 World Rugby U20 Championship.
